THE LONE STAR STATE

Proudly our home state, Texas is rich and vibrant mix of a wide range of cultures and landscapes. Our state has been home to six flags: Spain, France, Mexico, The Republic of Texas, The Confederate States of America, and The United States of America. All of these moments in our history contribute to our diverse culture. We're so proud of this, The Lone Star state is unmatched in culinary diversity, artistic exploration, and musical passion. From the Gulf Coast to the Big Bend, all the way up to the Panhandle and back down to the Piney Woods, one could spend a lifetime here and not experience all this state has to offer. 

The White Oak in this board is a true classic; strong, flexible, and beautiful while able to fit into any environment and milled to a range of amazing products, just like the Texan.

The Wenge represents our number one export: Black Gold.

The Padouk in the center; our beautiful sunsets, our ability to stand out, stand strong, and stand alone if necessary. It's also the best color of all the Texas colleges: burnt orange.
